Job Summary
Deliver HVAC products and materials safely to customers, vendors, and Sales Centers while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Perform daily loading and unloading of trucks, collect invoices with signatures, and conduct inventory counts, picking, and order verification. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhere to all safety protocols, and report hazards immediately to management. Maintain truck checklists and manage in/out times with merchandise returns. This role supports Baker Distributing Company's operations as a key representative, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year truck driving experience
- Box Truck delivery experience
- A valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate
- Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
- A valid driver's license (if driving is an essential function of the role)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
Desired Qualifications
- CDL license
- Warehouse experience, including driving a forklift/appliance lift
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools
- Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop long term relationships
- Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
- Strong and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
