Part-time Driver at Veranda Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Harlingen, TX. Responsibilities include securing passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips, assisting disabled and/or elderly residents in and out of the vehicle and in and out of buildings and doctor’s offices when appropriate, assisting all departments in the delivery and pick-up of items (e.g., x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail) while adhering to HIPAA guidelines, cleaning and servicing the vehicle, reporting all vehicle repairs or hazards to a supervisor, remaining flexible for special occasions/schedules, and using tact with facility personnel, residents, family members, and outside contacts. Qualifications include a Driver License with a clean driving record; previous healthcare environment experience preferred.
