Driver / Transportation Aide

Job Summary
Provide transportation and care for special needs students, meeting each child at their developmental level and maintaining a loving, understanding, and safe environment. Serve as a primary morning/afternoon contact and represent NCPS with courtesy, cooperation, and tact while ensuring safety and appropriate behavior for students, parents, and the district. Requires English-language proficiency and a bachelor's degree; physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs and assist students with mobility. Experience with school-aged students is preferred; the “V” endorsement is preferred and willingness to obtain it is encouraged. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Must be able to physically lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to assist children into or out of a vehicle
- Experience with school aged students preferred
- 'V' endorsement preferred
- Willingness to obtain the 'V' endorsement also preferred
