Driver Trainer / School Bus Driver

Job Summary
Provide daily classroom sessions and Class 2 bus training for new trainees; continue education for current drivers to develop skills as School Bus Driver. Manage training reports, ensure safety policy compliance, participate in incident investigations, maintain training progress and paperwork, and be accessible to drivers with training questions. Drive a designated school bus route and be flexible to provide route coverage. Requires Valid Class 1 or 2 license with air brake endorsement and 3+ years of commercial driving; strong communication, confidentiality, and professionalism; proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of busing safety regulations; post-secondary leadership/management training is an asset. Training occurs between 9 am–2 pm Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement
- Minimum three (3) years of commercial driving experience
- Maintain a clear 5-year commercial driver’s abstract and criminal record
- Previous experience in a school bus operation, commercial driving, or transportation industry
- Knowledge of busing related safety legislation and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions
