Job Summary
Driver Trainee will undergo Republic Services’ CDL training program to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and transition into a Driver role across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off lines of business. Responsibilities include completing classroom and on-route CDL training, practicing pre- and post-operation inspections, safely operating heavy/truck equipment, following route sheets, loading/disposing of waste, tagging unsatisfactory containers, and maintaining vehicle readiness. After CDL attainment, perform driver duties per assigned line of business and comply with safety policies. This role offers comprehensive benefits and requires no prohibitions to obtaining a CDL.
