Driver Trainee

Driver Trainee will complete Republic Services’ CDL training program to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and transition into a Driver role across lines of business (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Roll-Off). Responsibilities include completing the CDL training program (classroom, on-route training, driving experience, and access to a loaned truck), passing the CDL examination, performing pre- and post-operation inspections, reporting safety issues, safely operating heavy/ commercial trucks on designated routes to service customers and dispose of material, operating vehicles with manual and/or automatic controls per safety policies, identifying unsatisfactory waste containers, monitoring waste quality, ensuring the vehicle is operationally ready, following safety policies, and performing Driver duties after CDL acquisition.
