Job Summary
Driver Trainee role supporting SYGMA/Oklahoma operations: assist the driver in unloading at customer locations, learn the delivery route, assist with route paperwork, and participate in CDL school when scheduled. Duties include unloading per customer specifications, providing courteous service to customers, supporting pre-trip checks, coupling equipment, aiming to meet weight and safety requirements, assisting with route planning using maps, directing driver for safe backing in tight spaces, facilitating delivery setup at customer locations, and communicating with customers through hand signals or verbal directions. Requires reading and writing English and a valid CDL-A permit; physical duties include lifting up to 75 lb and static/field driving tasks; the position involves work in both indoor and outdoor environments and may require training in CDL school.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Ability to read and write clearly in English
- A valid driver’s license, CDL-A permit - Required
- Willingness to attend CDL School when scheduled
- Ability to lift up to 75 lb and perform physical tasks as needed
