Driver Trainee - CDL (B) Permit

Driver Trainee will receive CDL training to obtain a commercial driver’s license and transition into a Driver role across Republic Services’ lines of business (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Roll-Off). The program includes classroom study, on-route training, hands-on driving, and access to a loaner truck, with a mandatory twelve-month employment period after CDL attainment. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections, reporting safety issues, safely operating a heavy/Commercial truck along routes, loading/disposal at designated facilities, identifying improper waste containers, maintaining vehicle readiness, and adhering to safety policies. After obtaining a CDL, trainees will perform Driver duties in one of the company’s lines of business. Benefits are provided and the company emphasizes equal opportunity employment.
