Job Summary
As a Driver Technician in SOCOTEC UK&I’s Infrastructure Division, you will join a UKAS-accredited Materials team to determine the physical properties of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures, ensuring compliance with British, European, and American standards. Key tasks include collecting concrete and materials samples, transferring samples across the UK, direct client contact, and utilizing IT/booking systems. You will need a valid clean driving licence, be physically able to move large samples, and work both independently and as part of a team to meet schedules and deadlines. The role supports a flexible work environment with local/national projects and options for office-based, remote, or hybrid arrangements, alongside training and development opportunities. Your responsibilities will contribute to ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance across infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid clean driving licence
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this
- Ability to work independently and follow schedules and deadlines
- Physically fit and able to move large volumes of concrete cubes and materials samples
