Job Summary
Driver position with SYGMA/Pasco responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customers, unloading by hand or hand cart, recording invoices and maintaining documentation, and ensuring food safety and sanitary conditions. Requires a valid Class A CDL and English proficiency; duties include delivering on an assigned route, handling damaged goods, backhauls/line hauls, adherence to DOT regulations, and excellent customer service while following safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Knowledge of DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; Safe lifting and delivery practices
- Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit day and night in varying traffic and weather conditions; meet productivity levels; handle various materials; operate required equipment
