Job Summary
Service various accounts by picking up and transporting waste safely according to federal, state, and local rules. Plan daily schedules by reviewing manifests and route sheets, then follow routing software to cover absences and service changes. Secure waste and materials before operating on public highways, ensuring all paperwork and DOT logs are completed accurately. Perform documented pre-trip and post-trip maintenance, reporting issues to the dispatcher. Communicate with supervisors regarding address changes or customer readiness issues. This role requires a CDL A, TWIC card, and 2 years of truck driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience, preferably in driving Trucks and Box Trucks
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A
- All CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner
- TWIC Card or willingness to get one paid for by WM
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturdays)
- Must be able to lift (implied by physical requirements and job duties)
