Job Summary
Serve as the primary contact for drivers navigating the terminal visit, delivering the Werner Welcome Experience orientation and assigning tractors while maintaining data in the iSeries planning grid. Educate drivers on equipment operation and maintenance, proactively confirm expectations are met, and document all interactions and resolutions throughout the welcome process. Update driver materials as needed and assist with on-boarding, travel, orientation schedules, and facility directions. Maintain regular attendance according to the scheduled shift. This role supports Werner's dedicated and one-way truckload services across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, ensuring a positive experience for drivers using our modern fleet and EDGE® technology.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate, educate and negotiate in a professional manner
- Ability to operate a PC, including iSeries, Excel, and Word
- Strong decision-making skills
- Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel
- Lift in excess of 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CDL preferred
- Three to five years transportation experience within the trucking industry preferred
- One to two years of customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of Werner portfolio and business units
