Job Summary
Sort library materials into destination boxes, fill station areas with stacks, and clear conveyor belts. Operate, load, and unload a 26-foot box truck, delivering books and counting items for pickup. Process Search, Ohio, and Interlibrary Loan materials, determine missing branch sticker locations, and break down workstations at shift end. Check vehicle maintenance, report damages, keep trucks clean, and troubleshoot preventative issues. Train new drivers on vehicle operations and material handling, provide progress updates, and assist with special events or system courier services as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license which meets the minimum requirements of CML's vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to utilize reliable transportation to promptly report to job assignment and other locations, per job requirements
- Ability to perform alphabetic and numeric sorting
- Ability to operate library technology including personal computer, email, software programs (i.e. Windows/Microsoft Office) and other job-related equipment and systems
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' driving experience preferred
- Experience operating a 26-foot box truck preferred
