Job Summary
Load and unload products from the vehicle, verify contents against shipping invoices, and deliver orders on time in good condition. Operate within legal speed limits while performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting maintenance issues, and maintaining constant communication with sales and delivery teams. Unload goods at assigned stops using a pallet jack or forklift, verify counts and condition of unloaded items, and report overages, shortages, and damage to management. Adhere to Department of Transportation standards and federal regulations while collaborating to resolve customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL in the applicable state
- State minimum auto-liability insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to maintain these minimum administrative driving requirements throughout employment
- Able to down stack and relocate large amounts of product weighing up to 180 lbs throughout the day
- Able to perform greater than average lifting, with some overhead lifting required
- Able to safely operate electric or manual pallet jack and/or forklift
- Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
- Regular, reliable attendance required
- Able to frequently use hand trucks, stairs, ramps, and docks
- Able to talk and hear, stand and walk, sit, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of direct experience in a similar position preferred
