Job Summary
Transport residents to scheduled appointments, outings, and community events while ensuring safe assistance in and out of the vehicle. Monitor vehicle condition, maintain cleanliness, and coordinate repairs as needed. Serve as the lead driver for the team, providing direction to two additional drivers and managing daily assignments and coverage. Confirm rides with residents, communicate schedule changes, and work with Programs and Operations staff to meet transportation needs efficiently. Maintain a calm, courteous demeanor with residents at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Experience driving a large vehicle such as a bus, van, or truck
- Valid driver's license required to operate community vehicles
- Safe driving record in accordance with Senior Lifestyle company policy
- Ability to remain focused and drive safely without being easily distracted by passengers or external factors
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and patiently with residents
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs
