Job Summary
Safely operate facility vehicles to transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities, following established routes and schedules. Aid residents getting in and out of vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort while conducting routine pre- and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and resident transport details, and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and resident privacy protocols. Work weekends, evenings, or nights as needed to ensure shift coverage, directly supervising the entire Wellness staff. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and First Aid/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Required Health Screening
- TB Clearance
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Any special licenses, certifications, and certificates (First Aid/ CPR Certified)
- Special skills needed to meet client needs [California Code of Regulations Sections: 85065(f)/87411(g)]
- Valid driver's license
- clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous driving experience
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends, as needed
- Physical ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles, if necessary

- Ability to work weekends, evenings or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage
- Proficiency in operating various types of vehicles, including vans or buses used or transporting residents
- Knowledge of safety protocols for assisting seniors in and out of vehicles, including proper use of mobility aids
- Familiarity with local roads and routes to efficiently transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities
- Exceptional driving skills
- Ability to engage empathetically with seniors, demonstrating patience and understanding during transportation
- Effective time management skills to adhere to transportation schedules and provide punctual service
- Respect for diverse cultural backgrounds and adaptability in providing personalized transportation services
