Job Summary
Instruct students on driving laws, regulations, and techniques within a classroom setting using the DriveSafe Approach. Prepare each class according to established policies and procedures, then complete and handle all state-mandated paperwork accurately. Collaborate with team members to manage special circumstances and clean the classroom at the end of every shift. Submit available hours timely per organizational policies. This seasonal role supports our summer program from May through August, with flexible weekday hours between 8 and 40 per week, or part-time weekend shifts year-round. You will work with teens and adults to build confidence and safety, utilizing our fully developed curriculum to create an interactive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- 23 years of age or older
- Colorado Driver's License
- Safe driving history - a Motor Vehicle Record check will be reviewed
- Applicants must pass a criminal background check
- College Degree or comparable work experience
- 2+ years classroom instruction experience
- State teacher certification
- Demonstrated ability to work with teens and adults in a teaching or mentoring role
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of teenagers
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Organized and able to work independently
- Responsible and dependable
- Good judgment and professionalism
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends during school year
- Availability and flexibility to work weekdays or weekends during the summer
- Availability and flexibility to work weekdays between 8 and 40 hours per week during High School break
- Availability and flexibility to work weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years classroom instruction experience preferred
- State teacher certification a plus
