Job Summary
Secondary Driver's Ed teacher in Madison, AL. Requires a B.S. degree in the instructional area and Alabama teaching certification. Responsibilities include assessing student abilities toward educational goals, developing lesson plans and instructional materials, providing individualized and small group instruction, planning age-appropriate activities, maintaining classroom behavior standards, collaborating with other staff, communicating with parents, maintaining student confidentiality, participating in meetings and committees, and fulfilling duties beyond classroom instruction; position follows school policies, Students First Act provisions, and a full-year employment expectation (187 days).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.S. Degree in the area of instructional responsibility required.
- Alabama State Department of Education Teaching Certification in the area of instructional responsibility required.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Reports to: Principal or Appropriate Supervisor
- Background Check Required: (Ala. Code §§ 16-22A-5 ) Upon offer of employment, employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Background checks may not be more than ten (10) years old.
