Job Summary
Driver to transport clients to and from appointments, programs, and services with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and dignity. Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation and adherence to traffic laws, pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining transportation logs, assisting clients with entering/exiting the vehicle, and communicating scheduling changes to supervisors. Must uphold HIPAA and organizational confidentiality, participate in required trainings, and be able to work in varying conditions with the potential for evening or weekend hours. Preferred skills include experience with individuals who have mental health, developmental, or physical disabilities and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Maryland driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience preferred (transporting clients in healthcare or behavioral health settings is a plus)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
- Commitment to professionalism, client safety, and confidentiality
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds if needed
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
