Job Summary
DZ Residential Driver position in Mount Forest, ON. Operates heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable material to disposal/transfer/recycle facilities. Requires highly skilled backing maneuvers, involves manual loading of containers weighing over 1,000 pounds, and interactions with public customers. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections, adheres to safety and regulatory rules (OSHA/DOT), participates in training, and follows route assignments while ensuring site cleanliness. Shifts include morning and afternoon with Monday–Friday schedule and some holidays. Starting wage is $31.71/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a current DZ or Class 3 license or higher
- 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- CDL-Class AZ Commercial Driver License (CDL Class AZ) with an air-brake endorsement Upon Hire
- CDL-Class DZ Commercial Driver License (CDL Class DZ) with an air-brake endorsement Upon Hire
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
