Job Summary
Screen applicants, interview candidates, and analyze data to pre-qualify drivers while maintaining knowledge of DOT regulations and company hiring criteria. Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new drivers, conducting pre-qualification Ride-Alongs to capture performance and safety data. Monitor applicant flow and candidate qualification status through the training process, reporting trends to management and communicating updates to dispatch. Ensure proper maintenance of Driver Qualification Files and timely completion of all departmental forms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in management, transportation or a related field
- Associates Degree
- Five years experience as a DOT certified driver
- Must have current CDL
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent personal computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products software i.e.; Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Extensive knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and CTPAT
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in management, transportation or a related field
- Two to five years recruitment experience
- Experience in TMW and Peoplenet or similar
