Job Summary
Screen applicants, interview candidates, and analyze data to pre-qualify DOT drivers while maintaining knowledge of transportation laws and company safety goals. Review applications against DOT and Company hiring criteria, then coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training to ensure new drivers complete required policies and procedures. Conduct pre-qualification Ride-Alongs to capture performance data and safety checks, while monitoring the applicant tracking system from initial meetings through training completion. Report applicant flow trends to management and maintain Driver Qualification Files for newly assigned drivers. Ensure all departmental forms are completed timely and follow workplace standards. Requires a current CDL, five years as a DOT certified driver, and experience with TMW or Peoplenet systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in management, transportation or a related field
- Associates Degree
- Two to five years recruitment experience
- Five years experience as a DOT certified driver
- Current CDL
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent personal computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products software i.e.; Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Extensive knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and CTPAT
Desired Qualifications
