Job Summary
Recruit professional drivers for all asset types, including DOT and CDL resources, by screening applications, conducting interviews, and utilizing cold calling, direct sourcing, and job fairs to grow the driver population. Engage internal stakeholders to align the driver network with forecasted volume and specific projects while developing utilization metrics to keep drivers busy and rewarded. Partner with the safety and compliance team to ensure DOT files meet FMCSA regulations, manage pre-employment screenings, distribute Comdata cards, and conduct driver orientations. Provide requested reporting and analytics to support business decisions. Maintain a diverse, engaged professional driver network essential to operations and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, with proven mastery of the full life cycle of recruitment for drivers, recruiting practices, processes and procedures including relevant federal and state laws
- Strong background in transportation, logistics or related fields
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- High energy, enthusiasm and drive for achieving results
- Passionate about safety and customer experience
- Ability to conduct cold calls, research-based sourcing and internet and web-based recruiting
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Project planning and project management skills
- Data analysis and/or report building experience
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, recognizing a sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required
- Must be able to participate in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CDL drivers is strongly desired
