Driver - Ready Mixed Concrete - Part Time

Job Summary
Drive a ready-mix truck safely and timely to job sites for unloading, operating the vehicle under a loading hopper to receive materials and start the mixer. Move levers to release concrete into chutes or directly into pouring areas, while performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting repairs. Assemble and disassemble chutes, clean the truck after delivery to prevent hardening, and maintain a clean vehicle on company time. Monitor equipment for safety and maintenance, maintain accurate driving records, and communicate effectively with dispatchers, management, and customers. Assist in yard functions, attend required training meetings, and work full-time hours six days a week with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid unrestricted California Commercial Driver License (Group A or B) and comply with Department of Transportation regulations
- Must have Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement
- Must have a safe driving record
- Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be available 6 days a week
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Must have a strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
