Driver Payroll Clerk

Job Summary
Process weekly payroll for approximately 270 drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators while entering new drivers into McLeod, maintaining accurate records, and processing deductions including benefits, 401(k), and garnishments. Transfer completed loads into driver settlements by reviewing trip paperwork, entering hourly hours from ADP and Samsara, and calculating tolls, fuel advances, and accessorial pay. Prepare and distribute weekly HR and payroll reports, research discrepancies, and resolve issues with drivers, Operations, HR, and Accounting. Maintain confidentiality while ensuring accurate and timely processing for a stable, growing transportation company with a family-oriented culture.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience
- Transportation, trucking, or driver payroll experience
- Experience with McLeod software
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years preferred
- Experience with McLeod software preferred
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel preferred
