Job Summary
Pick up and deliver geriatric, frail, and physically limited PACE participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles based on individual needs. Complete defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within three months of hire. Maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance, providing proof upon request. Ensure compliance with all state laws and requirements for driving. This role supports Providence's mission to keep older adults healthy and empower them to live active, independent lives through clinics and home visits.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 3 months of hire
- Driving is a necessary as part of this role
- Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving
- Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request
- 5 years of Driving experience
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years Driving experience, which includes:
- Driving a large passenger van or small bus
- 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs
- 1 year Experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs
