Driver - Participant Care - Evergreen (Tampa)

Job Summary
Drive InnovAge vehicles safely, delivering in-home meals, supplies, and medications to frail and elderly participants while performing pre/post trip inspections. Load and unload participants into and out of vehicles and assist with simple tasks such as moving items obstructing walking paths. Transport individuals to pre-arranged appointments and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety. Keep dispatch updated on route events and coordinate van maintenance scheduling. Participate in interdisciplinary team formulation of Plans of Care for PACE program participants. Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday and holiday operations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience
- One year of experience working with the frail or elderly
- High school diploma or GED or previous experience of one year or more within the realm of the position's duties and responsibilities
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds
- Valid state issued Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement (will accept Class A), good driving record and to be at least 21 years of age
- Valid state issued Driver's License, good driving record and to be at least 21 years of age
- Valid state-issued medical examiner's certificate when required by applicable state law
- Physical attendance at an InnovAge facility and/or an InnovAge participant home
- Working on a rotating schedule basis
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of how to use and maintain positions equipment
- Experience transporting the elderly
- Six months experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs
