Job Summary
Driver Operations Coordinator at Independent Waste based in Birmingham, AL. The role involves building and managing a driver recruitment pipeline across five markets, coordinating onboarding and screening (MVR, background, drug testing), maintaining driver files and credentialing, tracking renewals and compliance, pulling and distributing safety/performance reports (Samsara metrics), verifying driver pay against orders, and coordinating fleet maintenance and vendor repairs. The ideal candidate is organized, self-starting, and able to manage multiple deadlines across people and locations, with proficiency in spreadsheets, TMS platforms, HR/onboarding tools, and telematics reporting; DOT knowledge is a plus.
