Job Summary
Navigate multi-stop delivery routes in Salem and surrounding areas, loading, securing, and unloading product while maintaining safety standards. Perform pre- and post-delivery vehicle inspections, handle CODs and delivery manifests, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Learn multiple routes with varying start times, requiring flexibility for unexpected changes and minimal supervision. Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently. Obtain OSHA certification for Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness. This role supports Land 'N' Sea Distributing's mission to deliver marine and RV parts efficiently across the US and Canada.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior delivery experience
- Medical examiner's certificate
- Ability to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits
- Ability to become certified through OSHA in Basic Hazmat
- Ability to become certified through OSHA in Driver Specific Hazmat
- Ability to become certified through OSHA in Security Awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be comfortable driving a truck
- Ability to navigate successfully in minimal access areas
- Ability to learn multiple delivery routes with varying start times
- Flexibility to cover unexpected changes
- Ability to load, secure and unload product safely
- Ability to maintain a route schedule
- Ability to receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods
- Ability to ensure timely service
