Job Summary
Operate a 16 or 24-foot refrigerated box truck on established routes to deliver fresh produce to restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and retail outlets. Conduct pre-departure vehicle inspections, unload products using a pallet jack, and provide onsite customer service by reviewing deliveries and resolving complaints. Effectively communicate with dispatchers regarding delays, unsafe routes, accidents, and equipment breakdowns while reporting defective equipment promptly. Maintain ongoing contact with the route dispatcher and handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in cold storage or extreme weather. Must possess at least one year of truck driving experience, a valid license, and availability for weekend shifts, second runs, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Availability requirements – weekdays and weekends
- Work independently, using our Mr. Greens Delivery Truck 16 or 24-foot Truck
- Must have at least 1 year of Truck/Box Truck driving experience
- Available to do 2nd runs (second route in the same day) and overtime
- Valid Driver License and clean driving record
- Able to understand and read street signs in state in which Mr. Greens operates
- 21+ years old
- Frequent moving of product up to 50 pounds during the shift
- Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck
- Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to work in cold storage environment
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot weather, rain, and extreme cold temperatures)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in route delivery logistics
- Produce delivery experience preferred
