Job Summary
Load, secure, and deliver building materials to customer sites while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine safety checks. Verify order details against invoices, operate handheld devices for DVIR and HOS compliance, and manage hours of service logs. Act as a customer service liaison to resolve issues and may perform credit or product return pickups. Operate a forklift or non-motorized equipment to load and offload materials. This role requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical card, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently. No supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
- Must be able to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds
- Must be able to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling
Desired Qualifications
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and delivery equipment
