Job Summary
Load, secure, and deliver building materials to customer sites while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine safety checks. Verify order details against invoices, operate handheld devices for DVIR and HOS compliance, and handle customer service inquiries as a liaison between BFS and site customers. Operate vehicles weighing 10,001-26,000 pounds and use forklifts or non-motorized equipment for loading and offloading. Maintain hours of service logs, pre/post trip inspections, and manage credit or product return pick-ups. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical card, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and delivery equipment
