Job Summary
Operate non-CDL box trucks, straight trucks, or delivery vans to deliver metal building insulation, utilizing integrated safety cameras and GPS for route optimization. Perform comprehensive daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain equipment, and load/unload insulation rolls at job sites while handling hazardous materials under supervision. Complete daily DOT logs via ELD, process paperwork including bills of lading and fuel receipts, and collect COD charges. Act as a liaison between the field and plant by reporting job site issues, assist production and shipping personnel, and keep work areas clean. Maintain a customer-first attitude during deliveries and sign for receipts. Work a flexible schedule based on operational needs with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 23 years of age
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 1 full year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 5 years
- Straight truck or box truck experience only
- Maintenance of an acceptable driving record
- Valid license
- Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs and delivery schedules
- Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform duties in a production environment
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical work instructions and load sheets
- Ability to accurately calculate square footage based on dimensions
- Capability to determine the quantity of rolls required for a load based on specific square footage requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs and delivery schedules
- Ability to wear safety glasses and OSHA-compliant safety-toed footwear at all times in production and warehouse areas
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation
