Job Summary
Operate a transit motor vehicle safely to provide reliable and efficient public transportation, maintaining scheduled routes and ensuring passenger safety during transit. Assist passengers with securing mobility devices, manage conflict involving passengers, and accurately record fares including cash, tickets, and passes. Obtain a CDL license with passenger and airbrake endorsement, pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical, and maintain all required credentials. Receive fully paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid CDL training and permit assistance. Starting wage is $25.36 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid CA Driver License and be willing and able to obtain a CDL license with passenger and airbrake endorsement
- Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Must be able to assist passengers with securing mobility devices
- Must be able to safely and professionally manage conflict and/or difficult situations involving passengers
- Must be able to accept and accurately record passenger fares including cash, tickets, and passes
- Must maintain a valid Driver's License and all other required credentials, certifications, and qualifications
