Job Summary
Drive into a great career as a part-time driver providing safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation. Conduct on-time passenger pick-up and delivery while performing pre and post trip inspections to ensure proper operating conditions of the vehicle and on-board equipment. Maintain a safe work area, employ defensive driving techniques, and communicate effectively with dispatch via two-way radio. Provide excellent customer service including assistance with boarding and de-boarding, and respond appropriately during emergencies. Follow company safety and operational rules, maintain a strong attendance record, and work a varied schedule including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Starting pay is $25.56/hour with paid training and a benefits package available after the qualification period.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License or permit, with passenger endorsements, or ability to obtain one
- Must have a current and valid Driver's License with minimum of five (5) years driving record/history
- Must be able to work a varied schedule, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language clearly
- Ability to navigate the service area through use of maps, and knowledge of service area
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers, passenger representatives and system staff
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor and appearance
- Maintain a strong attendance record
- Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures
