Job Summary
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices, and assist all riders on and off the bus. Maintain excellent vehicle cleanliness and condition, utilizing an in-vehicle tablet to validate pick-up and drop-off times. Complete required paperwork, attend routine paid training, and comply with federal, state, and company rules. Lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds while treating riders with respect and dignity. Submit to drug screening and undergo random testing; must hold a Class E or CDL license with no more than 4 points. OATS Transit serves seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the rural public in Missouri with mini-vans, Ford Transits, and wide-body buses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 23 years of age
- Class E or CDL license with no more than 4 points assessed
- Must be able to pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test
- Must take and pass drug screening, and undergo random drug/alcohol testing
- Must be bondable
- Proactive, helpful, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes
- Neat, organized, able to work independently
- Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
