Job Summary
Transport clients to and from Nexus, including medical appointments, court appearances, CPS visits, and other approved activities. Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining clean van interiors and verifying fuel levels. Perform daily vehicle safety checks, report maintenance needs, and schedule regular cleaning or servicing. Coordinate with staff upon shift start to review transportation logs and pick up medications as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of logs, mileage reports, and incident records. Adhere to traffic laws, confidentiality guidelines, and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A valid Texas driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Respects confidentiality
- Follows HIPAA and CFR 42 guidelines for disclosing information
- Adheres to the agency's compliance plan, code of conduct, and the Nexus policies & procedures
- Treats all clients, visitors, and co-workers with dignity and respect
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities with neatness, accuracy, and a degree of excellence, promptly
- Ability to work at the maximum capacity of all required expectations
