Driver/Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and box trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials within the manufacturing plant and between company facilities and vendors. Transport components to production lines, storage areas, and shipping docks while conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate delivery records, including time logs and bills of lading, and perform routine inventory counts. Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment. Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to prevent delays and maintain smooth workflow operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Class B license
- 3+ years of experience operating box trucks, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain 97% attendance rate with minimal tardiness
- Receive positive feedback from team leaders or operators on responsiveness and attitude
- Actively contribute at least one improvement idea per quarter
- Zero safety violations or incidents; full adherence to PPE and safety protocol
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant)
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems
