Job Summary
Manage a driver fleet by setting performance expectations, conducting regular reviews, and implementing corrective action plans for safety, service, and productivity issues. Resolve driver problems, track schedules including time off and holiday pay compliance, and authorize payroll discrepancies. Train drivers on tools and systems like Pedigree and the Magnus Driver App while ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies. Monitor deliveries and pickups for service failures, alerting load planning when loads are at risk, and work with load planners to improve utilization and productivity. Report to an Area Manager to oversee fleet execution and maintain positive employee relationships.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
- Must exhibit a passion for workforce development
- Excellent reading comprehension, oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- Strong skills with Excel, & MS Office Suite required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or appropriate work experience is preferred
- Experience working in the trucking sector is a plus
