Job Summary
Interview, select, train, and manage the driver workforce while ensuring compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Review electronic DOT logs, monitor real-time on-time performance, and optimize route efficiency through proper dispatch management. Follow up with new drivers on performance using DriveCam reporting and customer feedback, providing ongoing guidance to enhance job satisfaction. Investigate feedback regarding safe operational practices, maintain good labor relations, and execute disciplinary actions or terminations based on company policy. This leadership role includes eligibility for an annual 10% bonus and requires experience with CBA grievance processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
- 3+ years in operations leadership
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to exercise considerable diplomacy, judgment, and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and discretion with the company and union officials
- Safety and Workers Compensation, Labor relations, and CBA experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Windows applications, e-mail etc.
