Job Summary
Lead a team of technicians providing technical guidance on turf and ornamental care to ensure optimal plant health and effective completion of all schedules and work orders. Monitor plant health, diagnose pest and disease issues, and conduct soil testing to recommend amendments. Apply fertilizers and pesticides according to industry practices and label instructions while safely handling and mixing chemicals. Produce accurate records of materials used and communicate project status to clients and supervisors. Implement integrated pest management strategies to prevent infestations. Follow a strict schedule provided by a supervisor and ensure safe operation of all tools and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and motivate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of pesticides
- Strong knowledge of fertilizers
- Strong knowledge of soil science
- Strong knowledge of equipment calibration
- Knowledge of common turf and ornamental issues
- Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Certification
- In-depth knowledge of equipment
- In-depth knowledge of tools
- In-depth knowledge of machinery needed for landscaping operations
- Proficient in computer and technology skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Adobe
- Working knowledge of mobile devices
- Valid US driver's license
- MVR verification requirements
