Job Summary
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices, and assist all riders on and off the bus. Maintain excellent vehicle cleanliness, utilize in-vehicle tablets to validate pick-up and drop-off times, and complete required paperwork for the regional office. Comply with federal, state, and company rules while attending routine paid training. This non-exempt, hourly variable position requires a Class E or CDL license, a DOT physical, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. OATS Transit serves seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the rural public throughout Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 23 years of age
- Class E or CDL license with no more than 4 points assessed
- Ability to pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test
- Ability to take and pass drug screening
- Ability to undergo random drug/alcohol testing
- Bondable status
- Proactive, helpful, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes
- Neatness and organization
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
