Job Summary
Irrigation Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems across commercial landscapes. Duties include inspecting, troubleshooting, and testing systems; turning systems on/off as designated; replacing valves, hoses, pipes, sprinkler heads, and fixtures; operating timers and controllers; installing or repairing irrigation lines; conducting detailed inspections; and supporting other maintenance activities. Requires reading irrigation site maps/legends, proficiency with hand and power tools, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a valid driver’s license with clear MVR. Spanish is a plus. May need to obtain and maintain required certifications/licenses. Work is performed outdoors, often in extreme temperatures, with emphasis on safety and environmental practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience with the installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems
- Valid drivers license required with ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record review
- Proficient with conventional and two-wire systems
- Knowledge of irrigation equipment (hand and power tools)
- Must be able to read irrigation site maps and legends
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Obtain and maintain certifications and licenses needed to perform work in local market
