Job Summary
The driver is responsible for the overall transportation and safety of participants, providing transport to and from the center and appointments, as well as for outings. Essential duties include driving safely, assisting participants in and out of vehicles, maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness, and adhering to policies and OSHA safety guidelines. Candidates must possess a valid Class 'B or C' Driver’s License, have a clean driving record, and a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in working with a frail or elderly population required
- Clean DMV driving record
- Must have a valid Class “B or C” Driver’s License in the state of California
- Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred
- Previous commercial driving experience strongly preferred
