Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for senior participants to various appointments and activities, ensuring their safety and welfare throughout the process. Key duties include loading and unloading participants from vehicles, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards of transportation vehicles, and delivering supplies and medications. A crucial part of the role is adhering to safety policies, maintaining professional demeanor, and effectively communicating with participants and staff. Required qualifications include at least one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, a clean driving record, and a valid Class B or C driver's license in California. The job requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to lift and assist participants as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in working with a frail or elderly population required
- Clean DMV driving record
- Valid Class “B or C” Driver’s License in the state of California
- Medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred
- Previous commercial driving experience strongly preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to operate electric lift and ensure safe transport of disabled participants
