Job Summary
Operate company vehicles safely and legally to transport goods to designated destinations while maintaining professional conduct and appearance. Accurately complete and manage delivery-related documentation, including receipts and driving status records, in adherence to DOT regulations. Communicate delays due to traffic, weather, or breakdowns and report all accidents or equipment concerns promptly. Attend required safety meetings and training sessions, performing physical tasks such as bending and climbing as needed. Work outdoors up to 50% of the time and be available for irregular schedules, short- or long-distance trips, and time-sensitive deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years as a commercial delivery driver
- Valid drivers' license and clean driving record
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities
- Flexibility to work varied schedules and respond to short-notice assignments
- Proficiency with computer keyboarding and basic PC applications
- Must be available for irregular schedules, short- or long-distance trips, and time-sensitive deliveries
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, squatting, and balancing as needed
- Must work outdoors up to 50% of the time, exposed to varying environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial drivers' license (CDL) a plus
