Job Summary
Experienced Driver II sought to operate commercial motor vehicles in delivering and transporting live poultry, maintain safety and compliance with DOT regulations and company policies, perform pre-trip inspections, assist with loading/unloading, ensure secure loads, maintain documentation, report maintenance issues, and adhere to all applicable laws. Responsibilities include following DOT safety rules, completing required inspections and logs, and performing all other duties as assigned. Requires 3-5+ years driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, ability to work outdoors, and the ability to work nights/weekends/long shifts. Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of driving experience
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal Laws
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous live poultry tractor trailer driving experience
- Basic math functions and skills
- Follow DOT, state and federal laws and company safety policies
- Work in outside environment (inclement weather) daily
- Sit and drive up to 10 hours, climb in/out of truck cab
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Work around raw, live animal odors
- Work in noisy environment and moving equipment
- Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts
