Job Summary
Driver II responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle with a focus on safe driving practices and compliance with DOT regulations. Duties include performing pre-trip inspections, assisting with loading/unloading trailers, ensuring secure loads, maintaining proper documentation, reporting maintenance issues, and adhering to company policies and local, state, and federal laws. Requires 3-5+ years of driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, ability to work unsupervised, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs; candidate should be comfortable working in outdoor environments and capable of long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Work in outside environment daily
- Ability to drive up to 10 hours and climb in/out of truck cab
- Experience with live poultry tractor trailer driving (preferred)
- Attention to safety and compliance with DOT rules and company policies
