Job Summary
Driver role for IGF Route Delivery: safely operate a box truck to deliver dry and frozen foods and supplies to customer locations on a set route, unload/load, provide customer service, track delivery progress via routing software, and maintain compliance with DOT regulations. CDL is not required. Daily vehicle checks, safety inspections, and coordination with dispatch are essential; 1-2 years of box truck route delivery experience preferred. Mon-Fri, 1st shift in Elk Grove Village, IL. Must pass background check, maintain clean driving record, and have DOT physical card. Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to perform under varying weather conditions are required.
Required Qualifications
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- No reckless or DUI/DWI tickets
- Clean driving record with good/positive points based on driver location
- DOT physical card
- Box truck route delivery driving experience (1-2 years minimum)
- Strong attention to detail and solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Capable of working well as a member of a team and with minimal supervision
- Physical requirements: bend, lift at least 55 lb, stretch, climb (including ladders)
- Must be able to perform all delivery activities (checking, cleaning, loading, pulling)
- Must be comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
- Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to work across temperature zones (dry/frozen/refrigerated)
- Requires bending, sitting, standing, walking, use of hands, arms, legs, eyes, and voice
