Job Summary
Deliver meals to elderly, homebound, disabled, senior centers, and other sites within a 10:30am–1:30pm window. Accurately count meals and side items per route, stock the vehicle to keep food hot or cold, and record confirmations or missed deliveries on the route sheet or meal-delivery portal. Note significant changes in client condition and report to Client Services; call 911 if indicated and stay with the client until assistance arrives. Build friendly relationships with clients; maintain professional appearance and hygiene; operate a fleet vehicle safely per applicable laws and Texas Administrative Code; keep vehicle and food holding compartments clean; perform weekly vehicle maintenance and report issues; be available to cover deliveries outside assigned routes as needed. Maintain independence and safety while delivering and adhere to mission of serving seniors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with the elderly
- English reading/writing and basic math skills
- Ability to communicate instructions effectively
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Familiar with San Antonio and surrounding areas
- Must have reliable, personal vehicle and valid Driver’s License
- Good driving record and insurance coverage as required by policy
